Foster captures Mallory’s anxieties–will the new humans cause more murders to take place and can she handle being left in charge, not to mention her worries about the station itself. As the various situations spin out of control, Mallory and each of her friends deal with it in a different way, giving Foster the opportunity to show her range. While the plot is occasionally overly complex, Foster’s clear narration aids listeners in following the details.”

Foster changes Tyler’s sullen tone as their relationship transforms, bringing more warmth to his voice.
